The 17-19 September Birmingham NEC show wants to double exhibitor numbers from 30 to 60 to try and bring in more plant buyers to the NEC atrium outside halls 17-20.
Last year's inaugural 'Green Heart' did not meet numbers expectations of up to 80 exhbitors but will continue on a "cost neutral" basis - giving exhibitors free rent.
Displays will be designed to attract better footfall from plantarea managers and there will be display masterclasses from Kevin Waters. There will also be hotspots and more benches. Glee will also back the HTA National Plant Show in June in an effort to attract exhibitors. Neil Gow will again run the section. Some 80 per cent of Glee's floor plan is filled, said event director Matt Mein at the recent GIMA meeting at Haskins Roundstone.
Glee will also launch a top 100 buyer list at the show. Hozelock has announced it will return too.
