The GCRI Trust is a charitable trust, established in 1989, with the aim of promoting scientific research and education on the cultivation of protected crops.
The Trust provides small travel grants to researchers, managers and practitioners who are involved in the UK Horticulture Industry, and is keen to widen its reach to horticultural colleges and growers. It publishes technical reports of new and interesting items of potential value to UK horticulture.
GCRI Trust chairman Colin Frampton said: "Through these travel grants we want to enthuse a new generation in our wonderful industry to travel overseas and bring back useful knowledge to take us a step forward. A progressive industry thrives on innovation, change and good ideas – these grants help make that possible and we look forward to exciting proposals coming in by the deadline."
Applications for travel grants should be made by March 31 2016 to the secretary of the GCRI Trust, Dr Kerry Burton at GCRItrust@emr.ac.uk
