Gardena introduces smart gardening app

A new smart system from Gardena aims to allow gardeners to access and control their garden tools in a smart app.

The Gardena smart Gateway has connections to the network via the home router which allows it to communicate wirelessly with all connected devices through the Gardena smart App. The free app represents the switchboard for the Gardena smart system via smartphone or tablet and will provide an overview of all measurements of the smart Sensor. Users can receive an overview over their smart devices and status, and can deviate at any time from present configurations, taking control themselves as and when required.

The Gardena smart Sensor is an indicator of soil humidity, temperature and light intensity, and it supplies all information to the GARDENA smart App. A further component of the system – the Gardena smart Water Control – ensures optimum water management in the garden.

The Gardena smart Sileno looks after lawn care. The Robotic Lawnmower completes this task fully automatically. The fixed cycles are set in the App and aligned to the appropriate watering cycles. If required, spontaneous mowing operations can also be initiated.

As an introduction to the Gardena smart system, different Starter Sets are available, each including the Gardena smart Gateway and different device combinations. These can be extended with additional components at any time.
