The Pet Place at Warrington-based Bents includes a groom room and pet cafe.
Planters in Tamworth has also opened a pet-friendly cafe amid a rise in catering for pets at garden centres, many of which previously only welcomed guide dogs.
Emma Kelly, pet buying manager for Bents said: "The Pet Place at Bents has only been open for 12 months so this award is fabulous. We have come a long way in such a short space of time, and this accolade proves we’re on the right track. It’s amazing."
Planters' new restaurant 'Farmhouse Kitchen', is a special dog friendly room where you are able to sit and eat with your dog.
Bents managing director Matthew Bent said at the HTA Garden Futures conference that innovations such as pet cafes gave garden centres the edge over online retailers.
He added that Coleen Rooney had been in, as had a customer with a monkey.
