Garsons garden centre farm shop Food Fair returns on 11-12 June, bringing speciality food and drink producers together for a weekend of tasting, sipping and sampling.

Leopard Dairy's, Cavan Bakery and The Children's Garden activities are involved.

Farm shop manager Nigel Chandler said: "I looking forward to another fantastic feast for the senses at Garsons this year," says Nigel, who has been seeking out the best food and drink for the Farm Shop for over 20 years. "We have a fantastic mix of long-standing suppliers and some who've come on board more recently, so even those who are know the Farm Shop well should find something new to try."

Meanwhile, Scotsdales at Cambridge has created a huge Queen's 90th birthday cake, made from plants.

The four-tier cake 6 x 4.5m cake is made from begonias and lobelia.

Lizzie Gage, the houseplants and bedding plants manager, has also helped create Bollywood and the London Eye displays.

At Bere Mill in Hampshire, a first Test Valley garden and literary festival will be held, to include Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants, The Children's Garden demonstrations, Stefan Buczacki, George Plumptre, Marina Christopher and more.
