Garden centres up in July

Garden Centre Association figures show July sales hike.

Full garden centre results from July show a sales rise of about 14 per cent on July 2014.

Year to date sales rises among Garden Centre Association members, on average are about 10 per cent up.

Houseplants were 14 per cent up in July, as was food/farmshop. Catering was 10 per cent up, clothes 17 per cent up, gifts 11 per cent up, outdoor plants nine per cent up, sundries four per cent up and pets/aquatics three per cent up. 

Hard landscaping was two per cent down, seeds and bulbs was no change on July 2014, and furniture and barbecues 1.4 per cent down on July 2014.
