Garden centre owner dies aged 71

Hilliside Garden Centre owner John Watkinson has died at his Leicestershire centre on 24 September.

He founded the centre in 1976 in Thurlaston, Leicestershire.

Local reports say he died of a heart attack after discovering the aftermath of an overnight burglary of sweets and ice cream.

The business is now leased but he was still involved.

Police are appealing for information about this and a previous break in on August 8 but say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
