With 37 years’ experience, Howard Arnold from Verwood has the responsibility for the restaurant. He was recently the assistant manager at Drusilla's Inn, having worked at Bournemouth and Southampton Airports. His catering career started on Passenger Liners.
Retail and marketing director Terry Head said: "Our catering is enhanced by the fact that we have our own cattle on nearby land which offers a trustworthy source of meat for our regular customers," said Terry. "Howard will find our 125 seat restaurant and coffee shop a simpler to manage operation than that of some of the transport related venues his experience covers."
Some 11 per cent of the plants sold by the centres are cultivated at Stewrat's Broomhill nursery. Other garden centres are also supplied by the growers that were established in 1742. The business also provides an exterior landscaping service and plants to offices and public areas across Southern England through its division at Broomhill.
