Welcome to our preview of this year's Four Oaks Trade Show, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday next week (4-5 September) at the 23-acre nursery site in Cheshire's Lower Withington.

When the show, now in its 42nd year, opens its doors next week it will boast its largest number of exhibitors in recent years at 480. It is quite simply the largest, most comprehensive event in the UK for everyone involved in the garden industry from ornamental growers and garden centre buyers to landscapers and garden designers. Horticulture Week is proud to again be the official media partner to the event.

Whether you are looking to source the best of UK plant stock or seeking to sample the dramatic specimen plants and mature stock of the event's overseas exhibitors, you will find so much to see with many suppliers launching new plants at the show or highlighting their very latest ranges. For a taster of what is on offer, see page 31.

Meanwhile, product and services suppliers servicing all categories of visitor will be highlighting their latest developments across the show site. For more on these, see page 36.

Always a highlight of the show are the new plant, new product, new services and best stand awards, which will be announced at a special event for exhibitors hosted by Horticulture Week at the showground (see p45).

Meanwhile, do not forget to take some time out from the astonishing array of plants and products on show (for a full list of exhibitors, see page 47) and join one of the superb seminars that will be taking place for some reflection, inspiration and learning.

Finally, to help you get the best out of the show, try our Four Oaks Trade Show app, which will give you maps, exhibitor profiles, listings and much more. For details, go to page 16.
