Fiskars appoints new sales director

Fiskars has announced the appointment of Karl Millergill as sales director for its UK business.

Millergill joins Fiskars from premium consumer goods company Bloom Baby where he has held the position of country manager since 2011 leading the company's growth with customers such as John Lewis, Harrods and Mamas & Papas. He will report to Fiskars regional director for south west Europe, John Grayson and be based at the company's Birmingham office.

Prior to this role he held the position of commercial director for Curver and more latterly Keter, the brand of plastic house wares and DIY products for seven years and he spent two years as commercial director for Pyrex, part of the Newell Rubbermaid Group.

He said: "I am pleased to be joining Fiskars, a company rich in heritage with globally recognised iconic brands and products. It's an exciting time for the UK business and in partnership with the Trade Marketing team I'm looking forward to leading the sales initiative to deliver best in class execution at the point of sale and category leadership with our customers."

Grayson added: "We're delighted to welcome Karl to the team. His experience in relevant product channels and our key customers will be a great asset. I'm looking forward to working with him as we continue to build upon our recent success in the UK and Irish market."
