Fineturf to host next year's TGA Turf Show

The Turfgrass Growers Association (TGA) has announced that Fineturf grass contractor is to host next year’s Turf Show.

The biennial event will be held at the 55ha turf farm run by Simon Hutton near Grantham, Lincolnshire, on 9 July, and is expected to attract growers from as far afield as Italy, Slovenia, Norway and Australia, said the TGA

Chief executive Tim Mudge said: "This is the second time Fineturf has hosted the show, and the main draw is the opportunity to see specialist equipment at work. Visitors will be able to see kit in operation throughout the day."

He told Horticulture Week: "We have put out feelers for some big-name exhibitors to draw good visitor numbers. But we also aim to refresh some areas of the show and are looking for new ideas and innovations to ensure the event retains its unique status."

The event focuses on all aspects of turf production and as well as demos of new ranges of machinery visitors will get a heads up on the latest thinking on various aspects of growing and harvesting cultivated turf.

Hutton said. "We’re looking forward to showcasing our UK turf industry next year. We welcome exhibitors and industry visitors old and new and hope there’ll be something for everyone"

Full details of the show will be available shortly at www.turfgrass.co.uk
