The event on 6 October was hosted by Hobson Farming at its Scampston Estate, North Yorkshire, and attracted over 200 visitors including from the Netherlands, France, Italy and Eastern Europe.

Besides trial beds sown by NIAB and prepared by the seed companies, 36 companies exhibited their products and services ranging from crop protection, to machinery and including pack house grading and cooling equipment.

Hobson Farming managing director and BCGA chairman Rodger Hobson said: "This unique event has something for everyone and with the numbers attending it shows how important it is for UK carrots. In my opinion this is the best event we have ever held."
