The centre has introduced a 10m by 2m sandy beach, complete with buckets, spades, scampi and chips, open from July-October.
Managing director Neil Grant has extended the garden centre’s cafe by 12 metres and seen 30 per cent growth after creating a seating space for 200 people sitting on recycled furniture, church chairs around a log burner.
Ferndale is part of the Government business suppert service GrowthAccelerator.
Grant is also planning wooden chalets that could be rented out by local businesses, and a centre TV station airing gardening tips to view on mobiles.
A National Children's Gardening Week from 23-31 May is also planned.
