[NPTC Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Safe Use of Mowers]
The safe use of mowers requires competent operators. You must be able to manoeuvre the mower skilfully and safely. You need to be able to assess the condition of the grass and adjust the mower to achieve maximum efficiency of grass cutting as well as carrying out routine maintenance.
The assessment may be taken on a mower with one of 4 types of cutting mechanism: cylinder, rotary, flail, reciprocating knife.
Please note: The 2 hour assessment takes place on a separate day by arrangement between the candidate and the external NPTC appointed assessor.
