European garden centre congress to feature Ikea

The 2nd European Garden Congress takes place on 5-6 December and will feature visits to the garden centres Tuffaut in Paris, Floralies at Ile de France, Jardiland in Villabe and Botanic Pontault-Combault.

Jardineries will hold its 27th awards, encompassing eight countries. Nominated from the UK are Hayes Garden World, Haskins Roundstone, Melbicks Garden & Leisure, Wisley Plant Centre and Scotsdales.

Speakers include Jardilands assistant director Christopher Jones on his company’s 30 years in the business, IGCA president Nick Stodel on the worldwide market, Ikea customer relationship manager Pierre Villeneuve on ‘how to increase your sales through the customer itinerary’ and Arboretum Garden Centre’s Rachel Doyle on how to maintain growth in a country undergoing economic hardships.
