Designed for use where large areas of rough vegetation need to be cleared, this backpack brushcutter is powered by a 43cc 2hp version of Makita's MM4 four-stroke engine and weighs just 12kg.

With the engine effectively separated from the carry frame by four isolating springs, the vibration effect on the operator is greatly reduced. A fully padded harness aids comfort. Throttle and cutting drive control are on the handgrip.

The engine is powerful and quiet, with low fuel consumption and complying with the exhaust emission regulations to meet EPA Phase 2 and EU Stage 2 standards. Smooth torque drives the 230mm-diameter star blade.

A useful accessory pouch is fitted at the back of the harness for carrying replacement blades and a multi-tool spanner.
