Delamore managing director Wayne Eady said:
"With everyone being nervous about the economic outlook, there's likely to be a shortage of perennials and woody plants. Though the age-old problem is the weather - a wet spring will, of course, bring down demand."
Delamore is currently running a "strategic surplus" to meet any shortfall, he added. "Right now there's a delay in ordering - everyone's running two or three weeks late. But orders are good so far and we're optimistic for the season."
