In August overall exports from the Netherlands grew by 2%, which in cumulative terms means exports have grown by almost 6%.
Sales of cut flowers fared better in August than plant sales. On the national level, it was primarily the Eastern European countries that performed well.
However export to the UK decreased by 4% in August. Export to the USA also came under pressure in August with a drop of 15%.
Exports to the UK dropped by 15% in July. They have been on a general downward curve since Brexit in June 2016 caused sterling to weaken.
