Dr Hessayon completes journey with cookery book

Dr David Hessayon has written The Garden to Kitchen Expert, which "completes the journey" of his gardening career, according to the veteran author.

The Transworld-published £9.99 collaboration with cookery writer Judith Wills contains 680 recipes as is billed as "the cookery companion to the world’s best-selling gardening books".

Hessayon, who has written more than 50 ‘Expert’ guides over the last 50 years, said:

"Over the years the Vegetable & Herb Expert and the Fruit Expert have shown millions of people how to grow food in the garden.

"The books take the grow your own story from the seed packet and bought-in container to the back door. Now this Expert, to be published on 3 March, completes the journey – each fruit and vegetable is taken from the back door to the table.

"I hope you will find the book as novel as I found my experience of working with a professional cookery expert."
