This urn arrangement of British delphiniums, oriental lilies, alstroemeria, astrantia, garden roses, stocks and British foliage was created by floristry students at Capel Manor College, and donated by New Covent Garden Flower Market wholesalers Zest Flowers, Pratley, GB Foliage and C Best.
Day three of British Flowers Week 2016 (13-19 June), the fourth year of the industry-wide, nationwide campaign in support of British cut flowers, founded and organised by New Covent Garden Flower Market. The hashtag #BritishFlowersWeek has already matched last year's Twitter reach of 5.7 million and achieved a record Instagram reach of 798,000.
Chairman of the British Florist Association, Brian Wills-Pope MBE, made the arrangement possible.
On BBC One at 7.30pm on Wednesday 15 June, BBC Countryfile will be talking British Flowers Week with The Real Flower Company, New Covent Garden Flower Market and The Flower Appreciation Society.
