Digital landscapes feature in new book

Tips on how to use different digital approaches to depict landscapes are the topic of a new book, Representing Landscapes: Digital, published by Routledge.

Editor Nadia Amoroso, co-founder and creative director of Toronto (Canada)-based data-design visualization and GIS company DataAppeal, created the book to help give people some fresh ideas on how they can communicate their concepts and designs.
More than 200 colour images feature in the publication – which points out that people need not rely on traditional Photoshop montages to illustrate landscapes.
Graphics created in programs such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Illustrator are, for example, featured in this new book.
Each chapter also sees experts and practitioners in the field of landscape architecture explain a specific digital approach – and use images to show how this technique can be used in inspirational examples.
