Coolings Nurseries, 'the gardener's garden centre', is supporting competitions within Edenbridge, Sevenoaks Town, Swanley, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks District and Bromley.

Coolings has been a supporter of the community gardening competition since the 1970s.

Coolings chairman Paul Cooling said: "Plants and flowers can add a great deal of pleasure to our lives and this competition is designed to encourage people to grow plants and care for their personal space and surrounding areas.  Hopefully, gardeners of all abilities will be tempted to enter and discover the pleasure of cultivating something beautiful for themselves and others to enjoy."

Jim Buttress of the BBC’s Great Allotment Challenge added: "I’m delighted to be working with such an excellent garden centre in helping brighten the world around us."

The ‘In Bloom’ competition is free to enter, with categories ranging from individual pots to entire gardens.
