Connaught wins £11m of grounds maintenance jobs

Connaught Environmental has secured grounds maintenance contracts worth £11m to build on its acquisition of Fountains last year.

The largest contract is with the London Borough of Camden covering its parks, estates, open spaces and cemeteries.

This is complemented by work with Essex County Council and Rosebery Housing Association. Connaught also carries out grounds maintenance in the London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Wandsworth and Tower Hamlets. This weekend, the team will be on duty at the Embankment in Putney, where the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race will take place.

Connaught Environmental chief executive Richard Haddon, who was Fountains chief executive until the takeover in July 2009, said: "I am delighted that we continue to grow the business by winning high-value contracts.

"Our reputation is built upon delighting customers by producing high-quality services through highly skilled and experienced staff, of whom I am very proud."
