Working a 21in swath and having eight tines penetrating to a depth of 70mm, the Classen RA21 is well known for its ability to punch clean holes in tough, hardened soils without additional weights. Now users can choose between hollow tines for heavily compacted areas or situations where there is a lot of wear and a long-lasting effect is required or solid tines for sites that have a low level of compaction or needing treatment during periods of hot weather.
The controls on the Classen RA21 are simple. Using coring tines, the machine can cover up to 26,000sq ft per hour at a rate of 450 reciprocating revolutions per minute. Large pneumatic tyres front and back give the machine flotation on turf, allowing it to turn like a walk-behind mower.
