The bowling green seminars will take place during the spring across Scotland and Yorkshire.

Speakers from Dennis include Alan Ronaldson (Scottish venues) and Toby Clarke (Yorkshire). They will offer an insight into the company’s range of specialist machinery for bowling green maintenance with "on green" demonstrations.

Speakers from the Sports Turf Research Institute will cover modern bowling green maintenance techniques and green performance measurement, and British Seed Houses’ Richard Brown will discuss the latest varieties for bowls while addressing plant nutrition issues.

IoG Scotland’s Roy Daniels, Golf Finance’s Ian Henderson and First Independent Finance’s Adrian Chouner will also give presentations.

And Metropolitan Police head groundsman and bowling green expert Dave Bracey will give a talk offering advice and tips.

The events will take place on:

  • Tuesday 23 February – Adel War Memorial & Sports Club, Church Lane, Adel, Yorkshire
  • Tuesday 2 March – City of Dundee Council, Ardler Complex, Turnberry Avenue, Dundee
  • Wednesday 3 March – Bannockburn Bowling Club, Bruce Street, Bannockburn, Stirlingshire
  • Thursday 4 March – Fenwick Bowling Club, Bowling Green Lane, Low Fenwick, Ayrshire
