BLEC goes into administration

Worldwide specialist turf-care equipment supplier BLEC Landscaping Equipment Company has gone into administration.
Gary and Sue Mumby started BLEC in 1986. At its peak, the company employed 50 people. But since early 2008, the company has suffered a series of blows, "including a severe downturn in orders from Europe and the US, coupled with the appalling weather affecting UK sales of the large range of landscaping equipment", said a representative.
