The online facility allows runners to plot routes and provides information on training and nutrition. Accompanying the site is a free pocket-sized fold-out map that shows six different routes, suitable for a range of abilities.
Divided into beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, the new routes are designed to improve performance and fitness. For gentle exercise across flat ground, ‘The Hub Run' (1.35km) is ideal. For advanced runners, more challenging options include the short, but steep ‘Primrose Hill Run' or ‘The Regent's Park Run', which is the longest route at 6.36km.
Park manager of Regent's Park and Primrose Hill Nick Biddle said: "If you would like to see some stunning scenery while you walk, jog or run, then you can't do better than Regent's Park and Primrose Hill. The Royal Parks hopes that these new routes will inspire people to get fit in the great outdoors and to stay healthy."
