Buyers from a leading Portuguese DIY group, a leading US mail order company, a Norwegian internet sales company, a Danish distributor of garden products and a Lithuanian DIY chain will attend.

The overseas buyers are seeking furniture, barbecues, outdoor leisure items, ponds, fountains, greenhouses, bird protection netting, watering cans, hand sprayers and flowerpots. Also being sought are practical and decorative garden items, including gifts and plants.

The UK suppliers will be meeting with the buyers on a one-to-one basis.

The day's programme will include practical seminars on dealing with leading retail chains in France and Germany; protecting designs, patents and copyright; financial support for exporters; and Government help for exporters.
