Landscape architecture, arboricultural and ecological consultancy ACD is part of a design team that prepared the masterplan and detailed design for the 846-home development in Newport.
The work was commissioned by Isle of Wight Council in partnership with Spectrum Housing Group.
The scheme, recently approved by the local authority, includes 254 affordable homes as well as green space.
The initiative followed the economic downturn, which forced the previously successful bidding developer to withdraw last year.
Working closely with architect HGP, Spectrum Housing Group and ecologists from White Young Green and Island 2000, ACD provided arboricultural and landscape architectural services.
Plans include protecting the ecologically-sensitive areas of the site and proposing habitat creation and amenity space for new and existing residents in the area.
The council is now receiving expressions of interest from prospective house builders.
The design team also included Odyssey Engineering, ARC Environmental Consultants, Faithorn Farrell Timms surveryors, MCA Consulting Engineers and Merebrook Science & Environment.
