A research agenda on urban trees is being developed as part of a push for the Government to commit to funding in the face of looming public spending cuts.
A steering group of key industry representatives met for the first time last week to plan a research agenda document that will present a unified voice to government.
The idea is to develop a document through online consultation that can be used to drive research on urban trees.
Steering group representatives included:
- Arboricultural Association
- Institute of Chartered Foresters
- Ancient Tree Forum
- London Tree Officers Association
- International Society of Arboriculture
- CABE Space
- Natural England
- Landscape Institute
- Trees and Design Action Group
- Forestry Commission
