Chainsaw offers

Packaged with a set of really useful accessories, two Makita chainsaws are on special offer right now.

The electric UC4030 is powered by a 240v, 2kW motor to run the 3/8" chain at up to 13.3m/sec. It comes with 40cm bar, a steel carry case, two spare chains, one litre of chain oil, a sharpening file and guide, safety gloves and safety goggles - all for £178 ex VAT.

For those wanting the independence of petrol power, Makita has a similar package for the DCS4610. This has a 45.1cc low-emission engine that develops 2.8hp and will run the 3/8" chain up to 17.1m/sec over the 35cm bar. It is offered with an extra chain, file and guide, chain oil, two-stroke oil, safety gloves and a safety helmet with integral visor and ear defenders.
