Celtic Manor's golf club pond gets new fountain

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales, has installed a new Otterbine water feature in the two-tiered pond in front of its clubhouse.

The ½hp Fractional Aerating Fountain and Mixer Series improves water quality through aeration but for course director Jim McKenzie said the fountain was chosen for aesthetic appeal.

"It's made a great impact visually," he says. "It has two tiers, a waterfall and lights – which all looks fantastic, especially at night."

The golf course already had a strong relationship with Otterbine distributor Lely UK, as it has a full fleet of Toro mowers and utility equipment from the supplier - having spending more than £1m with Lely over 23 years.
