Celebrating best practice

The close of the year is always a time to take stock of achievements and last week's BALI National Landscape Awards did just that, with 850 of the industry's finest celebrating the very best in UK landscaping practice.

You can read the full details of all this year’s brilliant winning projects in a special digital awards supplement by visiting www.hortweek.com/baliawards.

The judges for the Garden Retail Awards 2015 have likewise been busy taking stock of the achievements of those in the garden industry — and we are delighted to publish today the shortlist for the awards, which will be held on 26 February 2015, giving winners a brilliant start to next year’s gardening season.

At the time of going to press, the Grower of the Year Awards 2015 team were also preparing to announce the names of those in the production sector that have been shortlisted for next year’s awards event, which takes place on 25 February 2015. Full details will be published online and in the first Horticulture Week magazine of the New Year. Finally, we have today announced the exciting shortlist for the inaugural WhatKit? Turf Care Product of the Year.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their projects, products and achievements with us and we look forward to toasting the winners in 2015.

This is the last edition of Horticulture Week magazine for 2014. The next will be published on Friday 9 January. In the meantime, our online news services will keep you up to date with the latest developments until Friday 19 December, when our last news bulletins will go out for 2014. They return on 2 January 2015.

From all of us at Horticulture Week, we wish you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
