Carillion AGM: Trading in line with forecasts

Carillion expects to deliver further revenue growth this year, it announced at its annual general meeting.

Carillion Group provides a wide range of support services including grounds maintenance in the UK, Middle East and Canada, and employs around 42,000 people. It had annual revenue in 2014 of around £4.1 billion.

In its AGM statement the company said the steady improvement in relevant markets that had begun last year had continued into 2015, and trading in the year to date was in line with expectations.

"Following our strong work winning performance in 2014, we continue to make good progress with contract mobilisations.  New orders in 2015 have increased revenue visibility for the current year to over 90 per cent.

"Therefore, with a high-quality order book and pipeline of contract opportunities, combined with our strong balance sheet, the Group expects to deliver revenue growth in 2015, with margins and cash flow in line with the guidance we gave when we announced our full-year results for 2014."
