Building system that avoids damaging tree roots to be demonstrated

A building system that is designed to avoid damage to tree roots will be available to view at a site in West London on 13 August.

Visitors will be able to see the Abbey Pynfords Housedeck Foundation System installed on site. The event will include a presentation and advice from the Abbey Pynford team.

Housedeck has been developed and patented by Abbey Pynford. It claims the Housedeck foundation system is suited to working adjacent to trees because unlike traditional strip footings or pile and beam systems, the position of the piles are flexible. It is a no dig system and avoids cutting off tree roots with excavations for beams.
