They are part of a new category for 'International Residential Garden' showcasing more than 40 gardens in cooperation with designers from more than 30 countries under the theme of 'My Country, My Culture'.

Batkin, designer for Vergette Limited, is making her international design debut in Japan at Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo, Nagasaki at the Japan Garden and Flower Show.

Her garden, ‘A Place For Nature and Nurture’ celebrates the cottage gardener and draws inspiration from the cottage gardeners from Hereford and Worcester.

She does not have a main sponsor so has set up an account on Crowdfunder - A place for Nature and Nurture to fund the overseas trip.

Ginger Horticulture is photographer.
