Bred by founder John Tooby, and named after his granddaughter, Rosie, images of John and Rosie featured on the original POS and label.
Over the next few years Bransford Webbs went onto introduce several new Hebe varieties to UK gardens, including Hebe ‘Purple Pixie’ and ‘Pink Pixie’. ‘Purple Pixie’ was found as a seedling on the nursery by John Tooby, and introduced in 1993 in its purple pots along with a cartoon featuring John and a group of Pixies.
‘Pink Pixie’ followed in 2001 with its pink pots. It was Bransford's most successful promotion and is still featuring in its top 10 sellers list 15 years on. Bransford Webbs were also integral in the introduction of Hebe Magicolors (‘Heartbreaker’, ‘Frozen Flame’, ‘Magic Summer’ and ‘Wild Romance’) to the UK over the last 10 years.
For 2016, Bransford Webbs are introducing Hebe ‘Red Wine’ and ‘Summer Drinks’ collections, bred by propagation manager, Karl O’Neill.
