Book update on bowling greens

The Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) has published a new book on the history, construction and maintenance of bowling greens.

Launched at IoG Saltex, All About Bowls is a fully updated version of the original STRI book on bowling greens, which has been out of print for the past four years.

The new 224-page edition has been brought up to date with current information by editor and STRI consultant agronomist Jeff Parris.

Parris said the book is an indispensable aid to bowling clubs and greenkeepers, which provides a comprehensive, year-round guide to the management of flat and crown greens. It is available from the IoG or the STRI's online shop
