The 2.45m high, 47m long wall greets diners at the Nova Food centre on Allington Street, which features 17 new restaurants and three pop-up kiosks giving a wide choice of food types.
Biotecture director Richard Sabin said the project was worth around £100,000 to the living wall specialist, including ancillary work. Overall the install took between three and four weeks.
Biotecture used plant types whose colour, shape and texture created a curved effect, with the predominant green colour palette peppered with mauve and purple. Around 4,050 plants were used.
