The Frosts Vertical Module is the next generation in living wall technology and was subject to a lengthy development period in order to achieve optimum performance. The three-in-one panel design allows the module to be cut to suit different installation requirements without compromising quality and reducing the carbon footprint of the products used. The FVM is manufactured in the UK from 100 per cent recycled materials. The module is simple and quick to install against a wall or free-standing structure, or mounted onto a bespoke frame. It is suitable for either new-build or retro-fit installation. Living walls are a relatively new method of façade greening in the UK and allow for existing, tired looking façades to make an eye-catching impression as well as providing well-documented biodiversity benefits. Greening new buildings also helps to reduce heat and energy wastage and improves the air quality of our towns and cities. Frosts Vertiscapes works very closely with the client and the design team to make sure the right plant species are selected. It is also important that the plants are fully developed and rooted before going into any environment (planted up to three months in advance). Therefore, keeping the impact on the project programme to a minimum, the FVM modules are planted off-site and mounted directly onto a frame for speed.
