She said her favourite designer is Chelsea veteran Christopher Bradley-Hole. "I like the simplicity of his designs and he also designed a beautiful show garden for Sheikh Zayed at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which I loved," Bin Zaal explained.
She added: "This may sound terrible but I can't really design cheap gardens. My father and I get a bit carried away creatively and my designs do end up being rather expensive."
Her favourite plant is the Bismarckia nobilis palm. "The structure and the colour are majestic," she said. The Dubai national ghaff tree (Prosopis cineraria) is also a favourite. The Landscape Room will build the garden.
Chelsea gardens believed to be planned for 2015 are the Dan Pearson (Laurent Perrier, built by Crocus), Rich brothers (Bord na Mona), Adam Frost (Homebase), Darren Hawkes (Brewin Dolphin, supplied by Kelways), Jo Thompson (M&G) Chris Beardshaw, Royal Bank of Canada and The Daily Telegraph, which is to be designed by Marcus Barnett and built by Crocus.
