Bawden Group turns ambassador for school's sports star

Grounds maintenance and tree surgery firm the Bawden Group is sponsoring a budding sports star at a local school.

Wiltshire-based Bawden Group has been maintaining Bishop Wordsworth's School's grounds and sports pitches since 2005 and is now sponsoring one of the school's pupils as part of its Ambassador for Sport programme.

The school's director of sport Marcus Hole approached the firm for financial support for one of its young sportsmen, Monty George. The 12-year-old represents his school in football, rugby, cross country and hockey.

Bawden will help the young sportsman build on his success on the football pitch. He has already played two seasons in goal for AFC Bournemouth's centre of excellence U12 and U13 teams and is now on trial at Yeovil Town FC.
