Awards focus on public buildings

CABE is inviting entries from architects, contractors and public sector clients for the 2008 Prime Minister's Better Public Building Award.

The award recognises excellence in design and procurement. Any new public building project can be submitted including schools, hospitals, museums, city centre squares and other public spaces.

To be eligible, projects must have been commissioned by or on behalf of central or local government or by a grant-aided body. They must have been finished after 1 January 2007 and come into use by 31 January 2008. The closing date is 17 April.
