AuctionFresh flower sales app appears on BBC Radio Four

Commerical growers are still being sought for the innovative path to market.

AuctionFresh owner Nigel Lister was contacted by the BBC in Salford to take part in the You and Yours discussion on bringing UK cut flowers to market.

He said: "We have in the industry, the Flowers from the Farm growers with great media exposure and no volume, and the large Spalding area growers who have joined Flora Britain selling through Dutch Florismart, with Florismart funding Flora Britain, and me trying to squeeze into the market without little success at the moment. I really need the commercial growers that are not associated with either of the above."

His new app helps to answer questions on when, where, what price and in what quantity flowers are available, replicating Dutch systems supplying non-English product.
