Architect to work on new community near Plymouth

Landscape architect John Hadley joins international consultancy Scott Wilson

Landscape architect John Hadley has joined the Plymouth office of international consultancy Scott Wilson. He has worked for six years in the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas. Hadley was previously principal landscape architect at Austin-Smith-Lords’ Cardiff office and was an urban design and environmental planning officer at Sheffield and Gloucester city councils. He has worked on several education-related projects, including a campus at Rhondda Cynon Taf, which involved extensive nature conservation. He also has experience of mixed-use master-planning for strategic urban projects and has worked on a number of urban regeneration initiatives. Among projects he is likely to work on in his new job is an urban development to create a sustainable new community of 5,000 homes in Sherford on the outskirts of Plymouth.
