APL appoints Chelsea award winner as new chairman

The Association of Professional Landscapers has appointed New Ground Landscapes director Adam Frost as its new chairman.

Adam Frost takes over the reins from Arun Landscapes' James Steele-Sargent and will be supported by new vice chairman, Landform Consultants' managing director Mark Gregory.
Landscape gardener and designer Adam Frost this year scooped Best in Show at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for his entry in the urban garden category.
"It is really exciting for me; I didn't know I would definitely be doing it but I had been asked if I would be interested," said Adam Frost.
He was appointed as Association of Professional Landscapers chairman during the organisation's AGM, held on 17 September at Johnsons of Whixley in Chobham.
Adam Frost added that plans to drive the APL forward meant he was also appointed to the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) Board.
Horticultural Trades Association president Andrew Richardson said: "The appointment of the APL chairman to the HTA Board very much reflects the importance that the HTA places on the landscape sector and recognises the increasing role that landscapers play within the garden industry.
"By joining the Board we can ensure that through the APL the landscaping sector has a voice at the table and a more integral role in future strategy setting for the industry as a whole."
