Andy Carter, chief executive, Notts Sport

Oadby-based Notts Sport, the synthetic surfacing supplier, has appointed a new chief executive, chairman and buying manager.

Andy Carter joins the team to lead the company's development in the UK, while former chief executive Shaun Patrick becomes chairman and will oversee the company's overseas operation.

Richard Avery is the new buying manager. Carter is a former independent management consultant who carried out a review of the company in autumn and was asked to stay to implement his strategy. He has also been managing director of Midlands-based Club Sports Outfitters.

Avery has worked with Notts Sport for six years and was recently responsible for project management of national cricket schemes. He was instrumental in securing and managing the community development programme and Chance to Shine contracts in the past four years.
