Amenity Forum announces events schedule for 2016

The Amenity Forum is repeating its free series of update events for all those involved in weed, pest and disease control.

The half day events will be held throughout the UK and run from January through to April.

Next year's programme will include a policy update, discussions of the best methods of integrated pest control, effective spray operations and current education and training topics in terms of education and

Getting those in the pest control industry to take pride in creating safe, quality amenity surfaces will be a core theme for the forum next year, independent chairman Professor John Moverley said. 

He wants to see more of those involved in specifying contracts to seek out the forum's Amenity Assured standard, rather than simply focusing on the economic aspects of a contract.

"Amenity Assured indicates the operator or contractor has fully embraced best practice and all it entails," Moverley said.
