Alnwick offers daffodil picking for Mother's Day

The Alnwick Garden is offering a free daffodil picking for visitors on the weekend of Mothering Sunday.

Visitors on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March are invited to pick a bunch of 25 daffodils, free of charge, and children will be able to arrange and bind their chosen daffodils with the help of the garden’s volunteers.

The gardeners at the Northumberland attraction have planted 250,000 daffodil varieties over the winter months in Bowburn Park, a large grassy area adjoining the garden.
