It will feature Valentine Warner on grow your own, Matt James on garden design, water features and garden furniture, Charlotte Uhlenbroek on wildlife gardening and Laetitia Maklouf on gardening in small spaces, including conservatories and window boxes.
Titchmarsh "will focus on the gardens of ordinary Britons, from the traditional British garden to the cottage garden and the rose garden. He will meet the owner and learn the story of the garden's creation and the challenges of keeping it. He will also pick out the key qualities that make that garden special and tell viewers how to get the look themselves," says ITV.
Love Your Garden forms part of a broadcasting and licensing deal with Alan Titchmarsh and Spun Gold Television signed earlier this year for daytime and factual programming for ITV1 and a five-year deal for Titchmarsh consumer products brands.
Meanwhile, a fledgling TV show on gardening is still running, insists its presenter and producer. Sean James Cameron said he dropped one fortnightly episode of the Horticultural Channel.TV because it clashed with the royal wedding. The producer had trouble raising sponsorship but denied a report that the project had ended.
